Position Title: Automotive Composite Laminator - Supercar Programme
Duration: Contract
Location: Rotherham
Job Description:
Lay-Up and Manufacturing
- Perform pre-preg carbon fibre lay-up to engineering drawings, ply books, and work instructions
- Manufacture complex composite components (Class A surfaces, structural parts)
- Ensure correct ply orientation, stacking sequence, and material handling
- Work with a variety of materials including carbon fibre, glass fibre, and core materials (e.g. honeycomb, foam)
Tooling & Preparation
- Prepare moulds and tooling to required standards (cleaning, release agents, bagging prep)
- Apply vacuum bagging techniques including:
- Peel ply
- Breather / bleeder layers
- Vacuum films and sealing
- Ensure tooling integrity and readiness for autoclave curing

Curing & Processing:
- Support autoclave and oven curing processes
- Monitor curing cycles and ensure adherence to process parameters
- Handle components post-cure, including de-bagging and initial inspection
