Job: Composite Laminator
Position Overview
The Composite Laminator (multi-skilled, adaptable) operates independently to manufacture high-precision carbon fibre composite components using pre-preg materials. Responsibilities include rayup, bagging, debagging, and following engineering drawings to achieve top-tier quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Tool Preparation: Clean tools and apply release agent correctly.
- Kit & Lay-Up:
- Cut and prepare material kits
- Ensure proper warp/weft alignment
- Lay up materials in precise orientation and sequence
- Vacuum Bagging: Craft and assemble breather bag materials.
- Cure Operations: Operate autoclaves, ovens, and vacuum pumps under engineered methods.
- Quality Compliance: Follow Parker Meggitt and health & safety regulationsator.
- Team Meetings: Attend shift meetings to review targets, issues, and key communications.
- Problem Reporting: Escalate issues promptly to team leaders.

Requirements
Essential Experience
- 2+ years as a Composite Laminator.
- Proficiency with aerospace/high-tech materials (pre-preg, tooling, etc.).
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and drive projects to completion.
Asset Skills
- Familiarity with material shelf life management.
- Aerospace or similar high-technology industry exposure.
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills.
Attributes
- Exceptional attention to detail & attention to complex engineering drawings.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Excel/Word).
- Self-motivated, team-focused with interpersonal skills.
