Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a Compute Infrastructure to be based at our office/ our customer’s site in Solihull.

Our Digital Enterprise Solutions (DES) Department leverages extensive manufacturing know-how for enlightened enterprise systems. Our deep industry experience allows us to drastically reduce process time and effectively streamline business flows for any organization. Our world-class consultants enable organizations to realize the power of the integrated enterprise by providing superior consulting and implementation services.

The Role: We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the end-to-end transformation of data centre compute infrastructure. The role involves driving solution design, ensuring alignment with enterprise architectural standards, and enabling future-ready platforms that support advanced applications and workloads. The ideal candidate will collaborate across program teams, vendors, and BAU teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and operationally ready solutions

Area of Responsibility

Lead the end-to-end replacement and modernization of compute infrastructure across data centres. Ensure all new compute solutions are fully compatible with MES Edge platforms, MPT applications (“mapps”), and future workloads. Drive solution design in alignment with enterprise (ADA) architectural standards and secure necessary governance approvals. Collaborate closely with program teams to ensure alignment with project timelines, deliverables, dependencies, and cross-functional requirements. Work with BAU (Business-as-Usual) teams to ensure operational readiness, proper documentation, and a smooth transition to steady-state support post-deployment. Coordinate with vendors and external partners involved in the design, procurement, and delivery of compute infrastructure components. Identify risks and dependencies and ensure proactive mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

Knowledge / Experience Strong experience in data centre compute infrastructure (servers, virtualization, cloud/hybrid environments). Proven expertise in end-to-end program delivery and infrastructure transformation projects. Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and governance processes. Familiarity with MES Edge, MPT applications, or similar industrial/digital platforms. Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills. Experience working with vendors, procurement processes, and third-party partners. Excellent problem-solving, planning, and risk management abilities. Ability to ensure operational readiness and transition to support teams.
