CAD Engineer

Location: Chiswick, London (Hybrid – 3 days in the office)

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE

The Opportunity

We're looking for a CAD Engineer with excellent AutoCAD skills to join a growing engineering team based in Chiswick. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of technical projects, producing high-quality engineering drawings and supporting the delivery of innovative solutions for commercial environments. If you have experience working with electrical or electronic systems, that's a real advantage, but the most important requirement is a strong background using AutoCAD and the ability to produce accurate technical drawings.

As a CAD Engineer, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining detailed technical drawings, ensuring projects are delivered accurately and efficiently.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing high-quality 2D technical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Creating wiring diagrams, schematics, layouts and installation drawings.
  • Updating and revising drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Interpreting engineering specifications, technical documentation and client requirements.
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and customers to ensure drawing accuracy.
  • Maintaining drawing standards and document control.
  • Supporting the wider engineering team with technical documentation and design changes.
  • Ensuring all drawings comply with company and industry standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
