Graduate Engineer or CAD Technician
CCL Global are currently recruiting for a Graduate Engineer or CAD Technician to join a major engineering programme within the nuclear sector. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a multidisciplinary design team supporting one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects. Whether you are a recent engineering graduate with relevant placement experience or an experienced CAD Technician looking to further your career, this role offers excellent training, long-term development, and exposure to cutting-edge 3D design technology.
Successful candidates will receive comprehensive training on project-specific processes and AVEVA E3D software before joining the engineering team.

Key Duties Will Include
- Produce and develop 3D cable routing designs using AVEVA E3D and the Cabling System module.
- Design and model Local Cable Tray (LCT) layouts in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards.
- Create preliminary cable tray routing volumes and develop detailed tray designs using standard catalogue components.
- Incorporate cable tray supports into the final design in accordance with project requirements.
- Work within a fully integrated BIM environment alongside Civil, Mechanical, HVAC, Electrical and other engineering disciplines.
- Ensure designs are coordinated with surrounding systems and identify interface issues where required.
- Maintain project trackers and engineering documentation to accurately record progress, issues and outstanding actions.
- Carry out self-checking and quality assurance activities to ensure engineering deliverables meet project standards.
- Report progress, technical issues and delivery risks to the Team Leader.
- Support the development of practical engineering solutions while adhering to internal design processes and procedures.

Requirements
- Degree (BSc/BEng) in Engineering or ONC/OND qualification with relevant CAD design experience.
- Previous experience using AVEVA E3D or AVEVA PDMS within a 3D modelling environment.
- Working knowledge of 3D CAD design and engineering drafting principles.
- Understanding of electrical, mechanical or structural engineering fundamentals.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality engineering drawings and models.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent English (written and spoken).

Desirable
- Experience using the AVEVA E3D Cabling System module.
- Knowledge of cable routing and cable tray design.
- Experience working within BIM environments on multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Familiarity with Navisworks or other 3D model review software.
- Experience within Nuclear, Power Generation, Heavy Industry or other highly regulated sectors.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC (MEH) installation design.
- French language skills
