Location: Cornwall (Site-Based)
We are looking for a skilled CAD / BIM Technician to join our Engineering Services team, supporting the delivery of high-quality digital engineering solutions on a major secure project in Cornwall.
Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will produce accurate 2D drawings and coordinated 3D models, with a particular focus on electrical and building services systems. Collaborating closely with engineering teams, designers, and supply chain partners, you will help deliver coordinated, clash-free designs that support safe, efficient, and successful project delivery.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Revit and AutoCAD experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about digital engineering and BIM.
Key Duties
- Produce and coordinate accurate 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for electrical and building services, ensuring compliance with project standards and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with civil, structural, and mechanical disciplines to deliver coordinated, clash-free designs using BIM methodologies and digital engineering tools.
- Support BIM delivery through model coordination, clash detection, data management, and compliance with BIM Level 2 standards and project BIM Execution Plans.
- Work closely with project teams, designers, and supply chain partners to deliver technical information to programme, budget, and quality requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement by adopting innovative digital tools, workflows, and modelling techniques that enhance project delivery.

About You
You will be a proactive and detail-focused CAD/BIM professional with experience producing coordinated models within a building services or construction environment.
You will bring:
- A Level 5 qualification (or above) in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with a strong understanding of 2D drafting, 3D modelling, and BIM processes.
- Experience of multidisciplinary coordination, with knowledge of electrical building services systems being advantageous.
- Working knowledge of Navisworks, Plant3D, Civil3D, MicroStation, or ProjectWise would be beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a passion for digital engineering and continuous improvement.
