Civil CAD Technician
Location: West Yorkshire (Hybrid Working)
Salary: Up to £40,000 + Excellent Benefits
A leading engineering and infrastructure contractor is looking for a Civil CAD Technician to join its growing technical drawing team, supporting the delivery of major electricity infrastructure and utility projects across the UK.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil CAD Technician looking to develop their career within the power and energy sector. Working alongside experienced engineers and senior technicians, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality civil engineering drawings and technical information that supports the successful delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate civil engineering drawings and technical information in line with project requirements.
- Update drawings and digital models following design changes and engineering feedback.
- Prepare drawing packages using company standards, templates, and quality procedures.
- Support multidisciplinary engineering teams by producing coordinated technical information.
- Maintain drawing revisions, document control, and technical records throughout project delivery.
- Identify drawing inconsistencies and assist with resolving coordination issues.
- Work closely with Engineers, Senior Technicians, and Design teams to support live infrastructure projects.

Ideal Background & Experience
- Experience working as a Civil CAD Technician or within a technical drawing role in civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, rail, transportation, or construction.
- Proficiency using AutoCAD, with exposure to Civil 3D, Revit, or similar CAD software being advantageous.
- Experience producing civil engineering drawings within a design or construction environment.
- Understanding of drawing management, revision control, and technical documentation.
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate technical information.
- Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn within a collaborative engineering environment.
