Computer Numerical Control Machinist
CNC Programmer / CNC Machinist (Mill Turn)
Location: Irvine Salary: £47,700 Hours: 37.5 hrs/week | 2-shifts | Permanent
About the Role
Escape Recruitment is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / CNC Machinist to join a thriving precision engineering manufacturer based in Irvine.
Ideal candidates will excels in creating and refining programmes at the machine, working from engineering drawings while producing intricate, high-quality components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Benefits & Perks
- Day shift: £21.00 per hour
- Night shift: £27.93 per hour (with a 33% premium)
- Rotating shifts: 2 weeks on day shift (Mon–Fri) followed by 2 weeks on night shift (Mon–Thu)
- Overtime opportunities:
- First 9 hours paid at time + half
- Additional hours double-time
- Permanent position with long-term career progression

Requirements & Experience
We are looking to speak with experienced CNC machinists who demonstrate:
- Programming experience from engineering drawings at the machine
- Strong CNC milling expertise
- Hands-on experience setting and operating CNC machinery
- Engineering apprenticeship/equivalent qualification
- Prefereable (though not essential):
- Background with **Mzatrol, Mill Turn machines, or the oil & gas/heavy engineering sectors
- Professionals using Fanuc or another control system are also considered
