Role Description

This full-time, on-site Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist role is based at Aaron Manufacturing’s facility in Poole.

The CNC Machinist will:

  • Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Select tools, adjust machine parameters, conduct test runs, and monitor operations to ensure components meet tight tolerances.
  • Inspect finished products and perform basic maintenance on machinery.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of production and quality information.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with engineers, supervisors, and quality teams to resolve machining challenges.
  • Optimising production processes while upholding a safe, efficient, and clean work environment.
  • Adhering to industry standards and continuous improvement protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven CNC machine operation experience, including machine operation and maintenance.
  • Expertise in milling, turning, and precision machining with the ability to read technical drawings and work to high tolerances.
  • Familiarity with quality control protocols, including measurement tools and inspection procedures.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or precision machining is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of safety standards, housekeeping, and basic machine maintenance.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Holding a relevant vocational qualification, apprenticeship, or certification in CNC machining or mechanical engineering would be beneficial.
  • Willingness to work shifts or overtime when required to meet production demands.
