Computer Numerical Control Machinist
Our client in Gateshead is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with strong programming experience, preferably a turner, to join their well-established precision engineering team.
About the Role:
Our client requires an experienced CNC Turner who can program, set up, and operate CNC turning machines to produce high-quality precision components. You will work from engineering drawings and ensure parts meet strict tolerances. This company really looks after their staff in a relaxed environment. You will be a genuine part of the team and valued with plenty of overtime on offer if you would like it.

Key Responsibilities:
- Programming and operating CNC lathes (Fanuc, Siemens, Mazak, or similar)
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Setting tools and making necessary adjustments during machining
- Carrying out quality checks on finished components
- Maintaining machinery and adhering to safety standards
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner with programming skills
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and technical drawings
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently both independently and within a team
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
