Computer Science Teacher
Canterbury, Kent | £34,068 – £52,834 (MPS/UPS) | Permanent, Full-time | September 2026
An opportunity for a passionate Computer Science Teacher to join a large, ambitious secondary school in the Canterbury area from September 2026.
Computing is a genuine strength at this school. GCSE uptake is high, the department is well resourced with established schemes of work, and the leadership team sees the subject as central to preparing students for a digital future — not an afterthought on the timetable.
You'll teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach at A Level if you have the experience and appetite for it. Beyond the classroom, there's real scope to shape the subject: contributing to curriculum development, running coding and computing enrichment clubs, and helping to grow uptake further at GCSE and beyond.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
