Location: Hydesville Tower School

Job Title: Computer Science Teacher (Maternity Cover)

Contract: Fixed Term, Part Time

Hours: 16 hours per Week

Salary: Up to £17,454 Per Annum Depending on Experience (0.4 FTE)

Role Purpose

Hydesville Tower School is seeking to appoint an outstanding Teacher of Computer Science to join our Senior School on a maternity cover basis (two days per week). To provide effective and high-quality classroom teaching to GCSE and ensure all pupils reach their potential through effective monitoring, assessment and target setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring strong academic progress and fostering a genuine interest in the subject. The successful candidate will also contribute to the pastoral and co-curricular life of this vibrant school community.

  • Teach Computer Science across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan, assess and monitor pupil progress to ensure excellent outcomes
  • Contribute to departmental development and enrichment opportunities
  • Undertake Form Tutor responsibilities

To provide stimulating, well-planned lessons across the age and academic range within the Senior School. To ensure high standards of attainment and progress To enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the Department through sharing resources and good practice, lesson observation, collaborative teaching and active participation in continuing professional development To perform other duties consistent with the post as directed by the Headteacher or Head of Senior School
