Computer Science Teacher – Tooting

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Computer Science Teacher to join a successful and welcoming secondary school in Tooting from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students to develop the digital skills, computational thinking, and problem-solving abilities needed to succeed in an increasingly technological world.

The school is a well-established and highly regarded secondary academy serving a diverse local community. It is recognised for its inclusive ethos, strong pastoral support, and commitment to raising aspirations for every student. The school offers a broad and ambitious curriculum and places great emphasis on high-quality teaching, character development, and preparing students for future success. Staff benefit from a collaborative working environment, excellent leadership, and a strong commitment to professional development and career progression.

As a Computer Science Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 depending on your experience and the needs of the department.
  • Join a supportive team that values innovative teaching and encourages students to develop confidence in programming, computational thinking, and digital literacy.

This is a full-time position commencing in September 2026. Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply and will benefit from a comprehensive induction programme and ongoing mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Teach Key Stage 5 Computer Science, where appropriate, depending on experience and departmental requirements.
  • Inspire students to develop programming skills, computational thinking, and a strong understanding of digital technologies.
  • Assess, monitor, and track student progress, using assessment effectively to inform planning and raise attainment.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all students can succeed.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement, and achievement.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and enhance the Computer Science curriculum.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, STEM initiatives, or digital enrichment opportunities where appropriate.
  • Ensure safeguarding procedures and school policies are followed at all times.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
