Computer Science Teacher (1-Year Fixed-Term Contract) – Outstanding Secondary School | South West London
Quantum Scholars are delighted to partner with an Outstanding all-girls secondary school in South West London to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Computer Science Teacher for a 1-year fixed-term contract, commencing in September 2026.

About the Role
The challenging yet rewarding position involves teaching Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, while also developing programming, computational thinking, and digital literacy skills in students. Experienced candidates with an interest or qualification to teach A-Level Computer Science would also be welcomed.
Within a supportive and collaborative department, you’ll help uphold the school’s academic excellence while fostering student confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong passion for technology.

Ideal Candidate Requirements
You will meet the following criteria:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised equivalent teaching qualification
- Have teaching experience in Computer Science for KS3 and KS4
- Exhibit strong subject knowledge, including programming, algorithms, and computational thinking
- Be passionate about delivering inspiring and engaging lessons
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication
- Commit to supporting every student’s full potential
- Enjoy collaborative teamwork and contributing to the school community
- Must have a valid Right to Work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

Key Responsibilities
Your role will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Covering topics such as programming, algorithms, computational theory, and data representation
- Providing effective, timely student feedback and progress assessments
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Collaborating with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards
- Supporting curriculum development and extracurricular activities (e.g., coding clubs and STEM initiatives)
- Upholding the school’s commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and academic excellence
