We are an independent video game studio specializing in VR, best known for Blade & Sorcery, a physics-based medieval fantasy combat sandbox built around player freedom, deep interaction, and emergent gameplay. As a fully remote international team, we value autonomy, ownership, and practical creativity.

About the Role

As a Concept Artist specializing in environments, you will work under the guidance of our Art Director to create rough concepts for our next virtual reality game.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop visual elements by proposing a strong identity in a realistic style while following the project’s guidelines.
  • Understand and follow the art direction to create compelling visual concepts.
  • Create sketches and rough concepts to help the Art Director communicate the artistic vision of the project.
  • Participate in 2D/3D visual research.
  • Adapt designs to technical constraints and limitations.

Qualifications

  • Excellent traditional drawing and conceptualization skills.
  • Proficiency with 2D tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Good understanding of the video game development process and its technical constraints.
  • Ability to create technical drawings with clear operational explanations.
  • Proactive mindset and strong team spirit.
  • Good level of English to communicate with the team and participate in occasional meetings.

Additional Specific Skills

  • Experience designing urban environments, interior and exterior architecture, as well as props (accessories, mechanisms, vehicles, etc.) and their functionality.
  • Strong traditional drawing and rough sketching skills without relying on photobashing.
  • Understanding of game design principles and design intentions.
  • Knowledge of architectural and urban environment design is a plus.
