Role Description
The Conference & Banqueting Administrator is a flexible, part-time, on-site role based at the Royal Bath Hotel Bournemouth. There is opportunity to extend the hours of this role by working in the events operations team.
The role involves managing conference and banqueting bookings, preparing accurate function sheets, and ensuring all event details are communicated clearly to relevant departments. Daily tasks include responding to enquiries, preparing quotations and contracts, updating booking systems, and handling changes or special requests from clients.

The Administrator liaises closely with the sales, kitchen, and operations teams to coordinate room layouts, timings, and catering requirements. The role also includes maintaining an active social media profile, creating engaging online content, and marketing materials which promote the hotel.

Qualifications/Experience
- Experience in administration or coordination roles within hospitality, events, or a similar customer-focused environment.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple bookings, deadlines, and changing priorities accurately.
- Outstanding customer service skills, including the ability to problem solve and use your initiative during the operational running of events.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional telephone and email manner.
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office) and confidence learning hotel or events booking systems.
- Attention to detail in preparing documentation, schedules, and event instructions to support smooth operations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Comfort working on-site in a fast-paced environment, including occasional flexibility for peak periods or key events.
- Previous hotel, conference, or banqueting experience and knowledge of Bournemouth’s local corporate and events market are beneficial.
