Description
Conference and Banqueting Associate – Full Time (40 Hours per Week)
Location: Glasgow Marriott Hotel
Department: Conference & Banqueting
Join the team at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel, where we create unforgettable experiences for our guests through exceptional service and attention to detail. We’re looking for a Conference and Banqueting Associate to support our busy events team and help deliver seamless functions, meetings, and banquets.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), ideal for someone who’s proactive, reliable, and enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
What You’ll Do
- Set up and prepare all function rooms and banqueting suites according to event plans and hotel standards
- Ensure all rooms are fully prepared and ready before scheduled event times
- Maintain high service standards and presentation throughout the day
- Keep all conference and banqueting areas clean, tidy, and compliant with Health & Safety regulations
- Set up dining tables, coffee bars, and full bars in line with hotel SOPs
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages during events as required
- Assist banquet waiting staff with food and beverage service to ensure timely delivery and guest satisfaction
- Support event clients and management with reasonable requests to ensure smooth operations
- Ensure all function rooms are secure when not in use

About You
You’re a team player who takes pride in your work and enjoys creating great experiences for others. You’re organized, reliable, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience in banqueting, events, or a similar hospitality environment preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and dependable approach
- Physically capable of handling event setups and room changes efficiently

- Full proficiency in spoken and written English essential
