Business Design Centre (BDC) is a B Corp Certified organisation based in the heart of the London Borough of Islington. The venue is a multi-purpose trade centre with a combination of exhibitions, conferences and events alongside a portfolio of showrooms and office space. The BDC has a long history of supporting its people and the community in which it is based as well working to improve its impact on the environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join the BDC team as Conference Executive, where the main role will see you working closely with our portfolio of conference and event organisers in booking and delivering our calendar of live events.
- Liaise with organisers on all aspects of allocated events in the calendar and be available for site visits, ensuring all required information is provided and communicated, linking internal departments and in-house suppliers.
- Support the wider conference team, attending weekly team meetings and actively participating in creative solutions for improvements on event delivery.
- Ensure a high level of after sales care, developing key relationships with event organisers and suppliers.
- Actively negotiate agreements for event tenancies and ensure event brief forms are received for each event.
- Contribute to the Venue Sales team targets, through the promotion of the BDC, attending relevant industry events where required.
- Support the Conference Sales Manager in maintaining agency listings and building relationships with key agencies.
- Attend networking and industry events throughout the year, alongside members of the Venue Sales and wider BDC Team.
