Conference Operations

Operations Lead, European Conferences (Private Equity)

You will own the operational standard of every conference we run, ensuring the end-to-end execution of 10 European private equity conferences per year. Your role will cover venues, suppliers, on-site teams, and the attendee experience.

Your Responsibilities

Your role will be highly adaptable but will predominantly revolve around these core areas:

Operations & Execution

  • Supplier Mgmt.:
    • Research & sourcing: Identify, compare, and secure top-tier suppliers—from catering and AV teams to branding materials.
    • Negotiation: Secure cost-effective, high-quality supplier contracts.
    • Relationship building: Maintain robust relationships to resolve any snags.
  • Budget management: Track expenditures, flag changes early, and ensure financial accountability.

Event Coordination

  • VIP and private event planning: From brand-aligned lunches and dinners to after-hours socials.
  • Venue logistics: Cross-team collaboration to align technical and logistical needs.
  • On-site support: Ensure everything runs without a hitch—without the showstopper.

Internal Support

  • Team efficiency: Streamline queries and prioritise responses across the operation.
  • Sales support: Manage internal promotions top-down—quality-checking banners, signage, and marketing assets before they go live.
  • Volunteer orchestration: Lead, train, and manage up to 40-person volunteer teams for events.
