Conference Producer

Location: London - Hybrid

Salary: £32k - £38k DOE

Ark Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading international conference and events organisation in their search for a Conference Producer to join their growing production team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and motivated conference professional to take ownership of developing and delivering high-quality B2B conferences across a diverse portfolio of industries.

Working closely with internal teams and industry experts, you'll research emerging market trends, develop engaging conference programmes, secure influential speakers, and contribute to the successful delivery of commercially driven events from concept through to execution.

The Role

As a Conference Producer, you will research markets, identify industry trends, develop compelling conference agendas, and engage with senior industry professionals to create commercially successful events.

You'll work closely with Sales, Sponsorship, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure conferences attract delegates, sponsors, and industry-leading speakers while delivering an excellent customer experience.

This is a fast-paced role that requires strong research skills, commercial awareness, organisation, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research, write, and produce a minimum of four - five B2B conferences annually.
  • Develop high-quality conference agendas based on market research, industry trends, and customer feedback.
  • Identify, approach, and secure senior-level speakers, chairs, and industry experts.
  • Conduct telephone and desk-based research with industry stakeholders to validate conference concepts and identify market opportunities.
  • Manage the full conference production cycle from initial research through to event delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Sponsorship, Marketing, and Operations teams to maximise event performance and revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with speakers, delegates, sponsors, and key industry contacts.
  • Ensure conference programmes, speaker information, and marketing copy remain accurate and commercially relevant.
  • Support Marketing with content, campaign messaging, and audience development initiatives.
  • Monitor conference timelines and production milestones to ensure successful delivery.
  • Attend conferences where required to manage speakers and support event delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing events and contribute ideas for new conference launches.
  • Use AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance research, content development, and production efficiency.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
