As we continue to grow, we’re looking for someone who is passionate about current affairs, enjoys building relationships and wants to help shape some of the UK’s most important conversations.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the content and programme development across TSC’s growing portfolio of conferences.
You’ll research emerging trends, develop engaging conference programmes, secure influential speakers and work closely with senior stakeholders from government, industry, investors and academia.
Working alongside the CEO, Partnerships team and Event Operations team, you’ll help ensure every TSC event delivers high-quality content, attracts the right audience and strengthens our reputation as the leading convenor for the clean industrial transition.
This role would suit someone with experience in conference production, stakeholder engagement, policy, public affairs or events who is looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
Conference Programme Development
- Take ownership of developing conference agendas across TSC’s event portfolio.
- Research policy, industry and market developments to identify the topics that matter most.
- Create engaging, commercially relevant conference programmes that attract senior decision-makers.
- Develop new session ideas, formats and themes.
- Regularly review programmes based on delegate feedback, industry developments and commercial priorities.

- Identify and secure high-quality speakers from across government, industry, investment and academia.
- Build strong relationships with speakers throughout the planning process.
- Coordinate speaker communications, briefing calls and event preparation.
- Ensure speakers receive an excellent experience before, during and after each event.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Support the development of relationships with key organisations across government, combined authorities, local government, industry and investment.
- Attend meetings alongside senior colleagues where appropriate.
- Represent TSC at selected industry events and build your own professional network.
- Monitor policy announcements and sector developments that could influence future conference content.
Research & Content
- Stay informed about developments across clean energy, infrastructure, industrial strategy, investment and regional growth.
- Produce briefing notes and background research for internal teams.
- Identify emerging organisations, speakers and topics that should feature within TSC’s work.
- Contribute ideas for future events, reports and roundtables.
Event Delivery
- Manage speakers onsite during conferences.
- Brief chairs and panellists.
- Ensure conference sessions run smoothly.
- Capture feedback and recommendations to improve future events.
- Work closely with the Event Operations team to deliver an excellent delegate experience.
Working Across the Business
Collaborate with the Partnerships team to ensure conference content supports commercial opportunities.
Work with the Marketing team to ensure programmes attract high-quality delegate registrations.
Support the CEO with research, stakeholder engagement and strategic programme development where required.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Naturally curious and interested in current affairs.
- Passionate about sustainability, infrastructure, clean energy or economic development.
- An excellent communicator, both written and verbal.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable speaking with senior stakeholders.
- Confident building professional relationships.
- Creative, proactive and full of ideas.
- Happy working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Essential Experience
- Experience in conference production, events, stakeholder engagement, research, policy, communications or a similar role.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Experience working with senior stakeholders.
Desirable Experience
- Experience producing B2B conferences.
- Knowledge of UK government or public policy.
- Understanding of the clean energy, infrastructure, transport or industrial sectors.
- Experience researching and writing conference agendas or event content.
Success in Your First 12 Months
You’ll have:
- Successfully delivered conference programmes across TSC’s event portfolio.
- Maintained and increased where suitable the quality, seniority and diversity of conference speakers.
- Built strong relationships with key organisations across the sector.
- Introduced new ideas and formats that improve delegate engagement.
- Become a trusted member of the team who helps shape the direction of TSC’s conference content.
