Job Summary
Reporting to the Connectivity Sales Manager your primary responsibilities will be to drive the sales of connected solutions within your region (Between Bristol and Gloucester) to attain targets and provide an enhanced level of technical and professional expertise to customers in the area of connected vitals, continuous monitoring, Cardiology (ECG, Stress and Holter), Smart Bed integration and hospital communications platforms.
You will partner with field sales, sales leadership, marketing & Engineering team to increase the sale of software and devices. This position will serve as the field expert in the area of connected devices and workflows. They should be able to communicate effectively with customers in terms of IT issues as well as various workflow environments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as the lead field resource in the area of connected devices, network installations and EPR connectivity options across all Hillrom UK. Persons in this position should be able to interact at a high level in terms of technical capabilities with both end-user customers, EPR partners (Epic, Cerner etc.) and distributors.
- You will be responsible for driving and achieving top line sales in connectivity solutions and contributing to the success of the overall business within a specific geography, but also supporting other regions where necessary to provide specialist connectivity support to both customers and the Hillrom Sales team. Dependent upon available resource and number of projects there may be a need to support your connectivity colleagues by owning deals/projects outside of your allocated region.
- Your role will interact with hospitals, Primary Care Practices and our distributor network. You will be expected to function well within a team selling environment.
- Interaction with the Primary Care sales team will focus on current PC based cardiology solutions in large projects together with formulating connected strategies for future Vitals monitoring. Involvement will be at IT level where our products have a requirement to integrate into the customers infrastructure.
- This position will focus on the largest actual opportunities as well as strategic accounts (those which currently represent a smaller value with a large future potential once an enterprise wide solution is adopted).
- Lead any high-level meetings or communications with IT professionals or Clinical experts where a better understanding of networking, connectivity or workflow requirement is needed by the customer in order to provide the best solution.
- This person will serve as the IT, Connectivity and workflow expert for the Business Development and Regional Sales Managers.
- The role will involve full management of any allocated connectivity project post sale, working with both the customer and Hillrom colleagues to ensure solution is delivered and executed to the customers satisfaction.
- You will work closely with the Service organisation to ensure the requirements are clearly communicated and understood and that the company can deliver on those requirements prior to receiving an order. You will be the lead in point of sales service contracts for connected solutions.
- This person will interact with our Connectivity Engineering Team (per above), EPR and distributor partners to ensure improvements are realized, where possible, with our ability to connect to key EPR partners.
- Future developments will see this position supporting our Smart Bed and Communication technology platforms

Education And Experience
- Minimum of five years successful selling experience with complex selling processes and connectivity solutions.
- Previous experience working with IT professionals as well as knowledge of networks and EPR data transfer.
- Proven track record of sale and implementation of device integration.
