Job Overview
Windsor Forest Colleges Group (WFGC) is seeking a full-time, permanent Conservation, Community and Research Lead to join the Berkshire College of Agriculture team. This role offers a salary range from £32,418.38 to £35,357.84, dependent on experience and qualifications, with a 40-hour per week working pattern including occasional weekend work (5 days in 7).
The Role
As a Conservation, Community and Research Lead, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and overseeing the strategic vision for the College’s Animal Centre’s conservation, research, and public education provisions.
- Ensuring all activities align with BIAZA standards and enhance the learning environment for students and the public.
- Designing and refining engagement strategies that drive engagement with animal and livestock collections, with a focus on animal welfare, biodiversity, and sustainability.
- Leading the development of a high-performing, culture-driven team that aligns with Windsor Forest Colleges Group values, specialising in sustainability, animal welfare, and industry engagement.
- Guaranteeing the robustness, ethical integrity, and impact of the research and conservation systems to improve animal welfare and site biodiversity.
- Setting and exceeding KPIs in conservation, education, and research sectors.
