Role Description
The Conservatory Installation Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Pontyclun.
This critically important role oversees the end-to-end installation of conservatories and related products, ensuring the following:
- Coordinating installation schedules across on-site operations
- Managing installation teams and subcontractors for seamless workflow
- Directing projects to delivery on time, within budget and with error-free standards
- Conducting pre-installation site surveys, reviewing technical plans, and running compliance checks
- Resolving on-site issues and troubleshooting challenges with minimal disruption
- Maintaining clear communication channels with customers to provide project updates
- Ensuring compliance with building regulations, safety protocols and company standards
- Implementing cost and material controls to prevent waste or overrun*
- Collaborating closely with sales, design and customer service teams for a cohesive experience

Key responsibilities also include:
- Carry out quality assurance checks for every project stage
- Produce and update detailed project documentation (plans, completion records, feedback logs)
- Promote continuous improvement in installation processes, tools and team standards
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
- Proven experience in conservatory or home improvement installation management, with expertise in site supervision and on-site coordination
- Extensive knowledge of construction and glazing processes—must be able to read technical plans, use measuring tools, and interpret site layouts effectively
- Previous experience working with subcontractors and managing teams of tradespeople

Skills & Competencies
- Keen project planning and organizational skills, with ability to multitask efficiently
- Strong communication skills, including client management, team briefings, and conflict resolution
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude to resolve issues across fault lines
- Understanding of health & safety regulations relevant to domestic building installations
- Confident use of basic IT tools, such as spreadsheets, project management software and email systems
- Strong leadership plus hands-on technical skill set in carpentry, glazing or construction
Personal Attributes
- Full UK driving licence is mandatory—travel between multiple customer sites is integral to this role
- Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to varying working conditions
- A proactive, adaptable mindset—comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Bonus Qualifications
- Formal vocational training or apprenticeship in construction, glazing or carpentry, or related disciplines
- Experience with custom design consortorio installations and bespoke home improvement projects
