POSITION SUMMARY

In this role you will support accurate and timely IFRS group consolidation and reporting across all legal entities, working closely with Regional Financial Controllers and Treasury. The role is open to candidates in Guernsey or Port Glasgow to join our friendly and high achieving team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the monthly, quarterly and year-end group consolidation process by reviewing regional submissions, reconciling variances, and preparing and posting consolidation journals, including intercompany eliminations, in line with IFRS and group accounting policies;
  • Prepare and analyse the consolidated group cash flow statement using the indirect method;
  • Support the preparation of consolidated reporting packs for the Board, audit and lenders, including reconciliation to management financial information;
  • Work closely with Treasury to validate cash balances and movements, understand key liquidity and financing drivers, and analyse cash movements across the Group;
  • Prepare clear, well-structured management papers and technical accounting memos to support the statutory audit;
  • Support the implementation of new and amended IFRS standards;
  • Maintain and improve consolidation data within group reporting systems, for example FCCS; and
  • Assist local teams during peak reporting periods without assuming ownership of entity reporting.

Experience

  • Strong IFRS and group consolidation expertise, which must include experience of multi-currency global organisations
  • Strong experience in consolidation including cash flow preparation
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Experience with consolidation systems, ideally Oracle FCCS
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Ability to test the robustness of consolidated financial results versus other data points from the organisation
