This prestigious central London law firm is seeking an ambitious Construction Associate to join its growing Construction team, offering exposure to exceptional quality work, an impressive client base and a collaborative environment where junior lawyers are encouraged to develop quickly.

The Team
The Construction team has experienced sustained growth driven by increasing client demand and advises across both contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
Led by a Spears ranked Head of Department recognised as a leading specialist in development projects and Building Safety matters, the team is made up of highly regarded Partners, Senior Associates and Associates working across a broad range of complex construction instructions.
The team acts for an established client base including developers, contractors, funders, consultants, investors and other construction professionals. Its expertise covers the full lifecycle of construction projects, advising on procurement strategies, building contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, guarantees, bonds, project delivery and construction disputes, with Building Safety Act matters forming an increasingly significant part of the practice.
The culture is genuinely collaborative, offering Associates the opportunity to work closely alongside experienced Senior Associates and Partners who are heavily invested in mentoring and developing junior lawyers, providing exceptional technical training and day-to-day support.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Construction Associate with 1 – 5 years' PQE to join a growing and forward-thinking team, working across both contentious and non-contentious Construction matters.
You will advise clients throughout the lifecycle of construction and development projects, assisting with the drafting and negotiation of a wide range of construction documentation including building contracts, professional appointments, collateral warranties, guarantees and associated project documents.
Alongside transactional work, you will gain exposure to a variety of contentious matters, assisting on adjudications, litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, as well as advising on Building Safety Act issues and complex remediation projects.

Working closely with experienced Senior Associates and Partners, you will receive excellent mentoring while taking on increasing responsibility for your own matters and developing strong client relationships. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm's Real Estate, Corporate and Dispute Resolution teams to deliver commercially focused advice on complex projects.

Requirements
- Construction solicitor with 1 – 5 years' PQE (England & Wales).
- Experience across contentious and non-contentious Construction.
- Exposure to Building Safety Act matters would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong technical ability with a genuine interest in developing a broad Construction practice.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills with a proactive and commercial approach.
- Team-oriented, enthusiastic and keen to learn from experienced senior lawyers within a collaborative environment.
- Comfortable working within the firm's hybrid working model.
