The Team
Our Energy & Infrastructure team is one of the largest teams in the UK. Joining us means you'll have the chance to enhance your expertise in Energy, while bringing to fruition some of the most innovative and cutting-edge green energy and Net Zero projects in the country. You'll be part of a dynamic and diverse team where your unique background and ideas are valued, offering you opportunities to grow and make an impact.

The Work
We have an outstanding reputation working on strategic, complex and innovative projects in the UK. Last year, Burges Salmon's energy team advised on:
- A 600 Megawatt expansion of a pumped storage hydroelectric scheme
- Civil works and key equipment supply programmes for a nuclear power plant development for EDF
- Three tidal energy projects
- Nine fixed offshore wind, and six floating wind projects, along with one Gigawatt of onshore wind
- Six Anaerobic Digestion and waste to energy plants
- Solar energy projects totalling Seven Gigawatts
- Six green hydrogen projects
We are ranked Tier 1 in directories for Energy, Renewables, Environment, and Nuclear. With a strong UK-wide presence, we are on the CCS panel, serving clients like central and local government, utilities, developers, funders, investors, Tier 1 contractors, and end-users. Such as Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners, Drax, Equitix, Foresight, Investec, National Grid, Aviva, and Octopus Group.
What You Will Need
- Evidence of training and experience gained at a firm with a reputation for high quality construction and engineering work.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering construction contracts within the energy sector.
- The ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients effectively.
- You will need to be an SRA registered lawyer.
