Senior Business Development Manager (Sales Director Designate)
Location: Midlands (within 1 hour of Worcester) | National Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Development Manager with a strong track record in the construction or contracting sector to drive growth within key frameworks, including social housing, large-scale property asset owners, and care home sectors.
This is a high-impact role with a clear progression path to Sales Director within 18 months, including a seat on the Senior Management Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business growth and achieve sales targets
- Build and manage relationships with Tier 1 & 2 contractors and major asset owners
- Develop and execute sales strategy in collaboration with senior leadership
- Lead tendering, estimating, and submission of high-value (£multi-million) proposals
- Manage and grow strategic accounts
- Work closely with marketing to enhance brand presence and lead generation
- Travel nationally for client meetings and site visits

Future Scope (Sales Director)
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team
- Shape long-term commercial strategy and business growth
Requirements
- Proven BDM/sales experience within construction, civil engineering, or property refurbishment
- Strong experience with frameworks, tendering, and large contracts
- Track record of winning business with Tier 1 & 2 contractors
- Excellent commercial, negotiation, and communication skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales/business development
- Full UK driving license

Package
- Salary: £70,000 – £80,000
- Bonus: Up to 25%
- Company car or allowance
