Description

We are seeking an experienced Construction lawyer at the Associate, Senior Associate, or Director level with a solid background across either the contentious or non-contentious aspects of Construction & Engineering law - or a mixture of both - to join our successful team in Birmingham.

Our Team

As you would expect from a firm of our profile and size, the members of our global Construction & Engineering practice are leaders in their field, operating across a range of jurisdictions. From a UK perspective, we advise our clients on all aspects of their construction and engineering projects, from project inception, procurement through to execution, and finding solutions to issues arising resolution of any disputes when projects do not go to plan.

The team advises on all standard forms of UK contracts including the well-used NEC4 and JCT, Model Forms of contract as well as international forms such as FIDIC, IChemE, and bespoke turnkey contracts.

All forms of dispute resolution are undertaken by the team including litigation, arbitration (including international arbitration), dispute boards and adjudication as well as all forms of ADR.

We are looking for qualified lawyers (4+ PQE) with a strong track record in Construction & Engineering law and the drive and ability to deliver high-quality work.

You will be a committed individual, with the ability and enthusiasm to take initiative, and to build long-lasting relationships with clients, potential clients and advisers. You will be coming from a well-recognised practice, and will thrive in a collaborative team environment.

There will be opportunities to work on a diverse workload in a range of different sectors - for example engineering plant (e.g energy & power), process plant in manufacturing and the built infrastructure environment, a combination of contentious and non-contentious matters, or to work on a range of different infrastructure projects.
