Wythenshawe, Manchester

You will need to have up-to-date knowledge with Health and Safety regulations in line with the building safety industry standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Coach and inspire apprentices to develop the technical knowledge and skills needed for success in construction roles.
  • Manage and teach a caseload of Level 2 learners on Foundation Apprenticeship programmes.
  • Deliver engaging lessons on basic Brickwork, Plastering and Carpentry and Joinery skills (i.e. mixing cement, cutting techniques, tool management etc.) to classes of approx. 10 students.
  • Mark assignments and apprenticeship tasks to ensure quality and progress.
  • Observe practice and provide constructive feedback to drive growth.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in construction or related trades
  • Up-to-date industry knowledge.
  • Required Knowledge:
    • Health and Safety regulations
    • Construction techniques of Brickwork, Plastering and Carpentry and Joinery
    • Industry standards and regulations
    • Onsite trades materials and components
    • Previous teaching experience in multi-skills / construction.
    • Hold (or be willing to work towards) relevant teaching qualification.
    • A genuine passion for developing others and sharing knowledge.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage a varied workload and deliver high-quality teaching / coaching.
  • Desirable:
    • Coaching or Assessor qualifications (TAQA, CAVA, A1, D32/33).
    • Knowledge of government-funded training and apprenticeship standards.
