About STRABAG UK

At STRABAG UK, we are shaping the infrastructure that supports communities, businesses and the UK's transition to a more sustainable future. As part of one of Europe's leading construction and infrastructure groups, we deliver complex, high-value projects across transportation, civil engineering, energy and infrastructure.

Our newly established Power team sits within the Infrastructure Division and has been created to support the continued growth of STRABAG UK in the energy sector. Working on major power transmission, substation and National Grid infrastructure projects across the UK, our team plays a vital role in delivering resilient, low-carbon energy networks that will support generations to come.

Guided by STRABAG's People. Planet. Progress. 2030 strategy, we are committed to developing talented people, delivering sustainable infrastructure and driving innovation through engineering excellence.

The Opportunity

As Construction Manager, you will lead the safe, efficient and successful delivery of construction activities across a portfolio of power transmission and distribution projects. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, clients and supply chain partners, you will ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards of safety, quality, environmental performance and operational excellence, while driving programme certainty and value for our customers.

This role is ideally suited to a proactive leader with extensive experience in major infrastructure or utility projects, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and a passion for delivering complex projects that contribute to the future of the UK's energy sector.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
