Construction Manager, UK&I Design and Construction
Construction Manager (Construction Execution) – EMEA
Location: UK (with 50% travel across EMEA) Role Type: Full-time About the Role
Join Amazon’s Construction Execution team as a Construction Manager, supporting defined-scope construction projects for delivery stations and fulfillment centers across EMEA. This dynamic role offers structured learning opportunities while contributing to Amazon’s infrastructure expansion.
This position presents a unique opportunity to:
- Travel and work in multiple EU countries and cultures.
- Gain hands-on experience in planning, execution, and delivery of key construction projects.
- Collaborate with diverse teams in a global, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and execution of construction projects across EMEA.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Track project budgets, monitor costs, and identify potential risks early.
- Conduct on-site construction meetings and compile comprehensive project updates for stakeholders.
- Assist in site due diligence, design development, and permit application processes.
- Coordinate technical design reviews and maintain pre-construction documentation systems.
- Learn and implement construction best practices and industry standards.
- Contribute to project documentation and reporting processes.

A Day in the Life
Your role blends learning and hands-on project support:
- Participate in site walkthroughs to assess progress and problem areas.
- Track project milestones, engage with contractors, and resolve logistical challenges.
- Work under guidance to solve issues and contribute meaningfully to project success.
- Present opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams while gaining experience in Amazon’s global construction framework.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Structural Engineering
- Related construction/engineering field
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with:
- Leadership
- Stakeholders
- Cross-functional teams
- Demonstrable ability to plan, manage, and deliver customer-focused documentation across multiple teams.
- Fluent verbal, written, and reading skills in English (direction given in English).
- Ability to follow clear instructions and work in a result-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project, PLM systems).
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations in EU regions.
- Experience in managing cool chains, refrigeration equipment, and temperature-controlled environments (a strong plus).
- Preferred languages (helpful for EMEA travel and client engagement):
