Construction Partner / Legal Director | Southampton, Hampshire | Top 200 Regional Firm

Construction is becoming an increasingly important part of this firm's long-term growth strategy. This isn't about stepping into an established hierarchy, it's about helping shape the future of a highly regarded practice with the backing of a leading Top 200 law firm.

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Partner or Legal Director to join a respected regional firm with a strong reputation across Real Estate, Development and Commercial Property. The team already acts on a significant volume of quality construction work, and the firm is now looking for a senior lawyer to lead, grow and further develop the offering across the South Coast.

The Opportunity

This is a genuine leadership role with the freedom to build your own practice while benefiting from an established referral network across Real Estate, Planning, Corporate and Commercial teams.

You'll advise a broad client base including developers, housebuilders, investors, contractors, landlords and commercial occupiers on a mix of contentious and non-contentious construction matters.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
