We are working with a highly regarded Tier 1 building contractor who is looking to appoint a Construction Planner to join their growing team near Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager, Engineer, or construction professional who is looking to refocus their career into planning — a pathway that can offer strong long-term progression and increased earning potential.
This employer is particularly interested in individuals with a solid understanding of project delivery who are keen to transition into a planning role. Whether you are currently site-based or working in a technical or coordination capacity, this role offers a structured and supported move into a specialist discipline.
The Role
You will play a key role in developing and maintaining project programmes across both pre-construction and live projects. Working closely with operational, commercial, and design teams, you will help ensure projects are planned realistically, sequenced effectively, and delivered efficiently.

What They’re Looking For
- Background in construction delivery (e.g. Site Manager, Site Engineer, Project Engineer, Design Coordinator or similar)
- Interest in developing a career in planning or building on early planning experience
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project lifecycles
- Good communication skills and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams
- Organised, detail-oriented, and proactive in problem solving
