Start your graduate career in a sector transforming the energy landscape.

Are you ready to turn your degree into a valuable career? At Vulcain Engineering we’re offering ambitious STEM graduates the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting and impactful engineering projects, helping to drive the transition to a net zero future.

About Vulcain Engineering

Founded in the mid-2000s to specialise in energy and environmental projects, we are a global engineering consultancy operating in over 16 countries with over 2,700 professionals worldwide. You could become part of a team delivering high value expertise across major nuclear infrastructure programmes, including Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.

Graduate Development Programme

Vulcain Engineering UK’s 2 Year Graduate Development Programme offers an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Construction Project Management Graduate at Hinkley Point C, working on-site five days a week.

Graduates are embedded within the Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC Team, where you will support the planning, coordination and delivery of critical construction activities. You will work closely with construction teams to monitor progress, track key milestones, review schedules, identify risks and issues, and help drive corrective actions to ensure project objectives are achieved safely.

The scheme combines hands-on project experience with structured training and mentorship to develop key technical, leadership and project management skills. You will gain exposure to stakeholder management, project controls, reporting, and construction delivery, while working towards industry-recognised qualifications.

As part of one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of major project delivery and build a strong foundation for a successful career in construction project management. Upon completion of the programme, graduates will have a clear pathway to a range of future roles within Vulcain, including Project Management, Construction Management, Project Controls, and other project delivery disciplines.

This is more than a graduate scheme, it’s your gateway into a rewarding, long term career in the Nuclear Industry.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
