The Role: Construction Project Manager
Sector: Retail Concessions | Airport Environment
Salary: up to £65,000
Location: London
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the delivery of retail concession fit-outs within a fast-paced airport environment. This role will be responsible for managing multiple projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery to programme, budget, and the highest operational and safety standards. Working within a highly regulated and live environment, the successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating stakeholders, managing contractors, and ensuring minimal disruption to airport operations and passenger experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of retail concession projects, including fit-outs, refurbishments, and new store openings
- Coordinate design, procurement, and construction phases to ensure timely project execution
- Liaise with airport authorities, retailers, designers, and contractors to align on project requirements and compliance
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with airport regulations, security protocols, and health & safety standards
- Monitor project budgets, schedules, and risks, providing regular reporting to stakeholders
- Oversee contractor performance on site, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications
- Facilitate permits, approvals, and access within a live airport environment

Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience delivering retail fit-out or concession projects, ideally within airports, transport hubs, or similarly complex environments
- Strong understanding of construction project management principles and lifecycle delivery
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders in a regulated, operationally sensitive setting
- Relevant qualifications in construction, project management, or a related discipline (e.g. HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and health & safety compliance
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
