An opportunity has arisen to join one of the world's leading independent programme and project management consultancies, delivering high-profile construction and fit-out projects for globally recognised retail brands.

Our client is seeking an experienced bilingual Construction Project Manager to oversee the delivery of a retail fit-out project in France. This is a part-time contract requiring an individual who can confidently manage stakeholders, contractors and project delivery activities on site, ensuring the programme remains on track through to store opening.

The Role

Working as part of an established project delivery team, you will take responsibility for the successful delivery of a retail fit-out project, acting as the key interface between the client and the construction team throughout the remaining project lifecycle.

The role will require regular travel to the project site in Croix Blanche, France, typically every two weeks, increasing to weekly visits during the final stages of the programme where required. The contract is expected to run until the planned store opening at the end of November.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of a live retail fit-out project in France.
  • Monitor programme, quality, cost and risk throughout the construction phase.
  • Coordinate contractors, consultants and client stakeholders.
  • Chair project meetings and provide clear progress reporting.
  • Identify and proactively resolve project issues to maintain programme.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with project objectives.
  • Support the project through commissioning, handover and store opening.

About You

You'll be an experienced Construction Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects within France.

You will ideally have:

  • Fluent French and English language skills (written and spoken).
  • A minimum of 7-10 years' construction project management experience.
  • Demonstrable project delivery experience within the French construction market.
  • Retail fit-out project experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently while managing multiple project stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to project delivery.

Contract Details

  • Contract until end of November 2026
  • 2 days per week.
  • Site visits to Croix Blanche, France every two weeks, increasing to weekly during the final project stages if required.
