The Role: Project Management Responsibilities
As a Project Manager, you’ll oversee high-value, complex schemes (up to £20m) from pre-start to completion, ensuring:
- Contract management:
- Develop contract & construction programmes (MS/Microsoft Project).
- Lead PCSA (Pre-Contract Site Appointment) activities.
- Define strategy, risk mitigation, and resource allocation.
- Team leadership:
- Manage Site Managers, Assistants, and Trainees.
- Conduct interviews/presentations, and chair internal/external meetings:
- Design Team Meetings
- Pre-start reviews
- Subcontractor performance reviews
- Weekly/monthly reporting (including contractual compliance checks).
- Project Review Meetings (PRMs) with clients + internal stakeholders.
- Project compliance & delivery:
- Ensure adherence to Employer’s Requirements.
- Verify completion of handover packages (O&Ms, statutory certificates).
- Field expertise during the Defect Liability Period (DLP).

Candidate Requirements
- Proven expertise as a Project Manager within a Tier 1/2 main contractor.
- Track record delivering £15m+ projects end-to-end.
- Specialist knowledge of:
- JCT contracts
- PCSA agreements
- Technical proficiency:
- Microsoft Projects (short-/mid-term programme development).
