About the Role

Our client, a residential and hospitality developer, are looking to appoint a Construction Project Manager/Quantity Surveyor. As this is working in-house for the Developer, it will be a varied, all-encompassing role.

Necessary Experience

  • Professionally qualified with a construction background.
  • Budget estimating, budgetary control, and pricing experience.
  • Be able to estimate costs for appraisal purposes based on designs produced by Architects.
  • Supreme knowledge of JCT Building Contracts and warranties required from main contractors/subcontractors and experience of negotiating terms.
  • A strong understanding of development procurement (subcontractor and suppliers).
  • Good practical knowledge of the construction process on site, and be able to challenge timelines given by the site teams.
  • Checking through subcontractor applications, responding back in a timely manner, and obtaining invoices for drawdowns by the required dates.
  • Preparing and agreeing interim valuations.
  • Preparing estimation of direct costs.

  • Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel.
