Ready to Build Your Recruitment Career in Houston?
Relocate from the UK to the United States
Most UK recruiters know New York, Miami and Los Angeles. Far fewer understand the opportunity Houston offers.
Houston combines one of the strongest construction and employment markets in the United States with no state income tax and a significantly lower cost of living than many other major American cities. For an ambitious recruiter, that creates exceptional earning potential - and the ability to retain far more of what you earn.
The city also offers:
- One of the largest and most active construction markets in the United States.
- No state income tax.
- A comparatively affordable cost of living.
- Mild winters and year-round outdoor living.
- A major international airport with direct flights to London.
- A diverse, international population and a strong British expatriate community.
- Considerable long-term career and earning potential.
We have successfully relocated multiple recruiters from the UK to Houston and are looking to do so again.
For the right individual, we will support the process from start to finish, including visa sponsorship, specialist immigration support and relocation assistance.
The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to join one of the fastest-growing specialist property/real estate recruitment businesses in the United States while helping build an entirely new division in the world of General Contractors with genuine long-term leadership potential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We are not the first recruitment business to focus on General Contractors. We believe we can do it better.
Demand for high-quality General Contractor talent continues to accelerate, yet the market remains underserved. Many recruitment firms are approaching it with limited data, fragmented delivery capabilities and inconsistent execution. That is exactly where we see the opportunity.
Most recruiters spend years building the infrastructure required to bill at a high level. We have already built it.
You will have access to established client relationships, sophisticated data, modern technology, experienced delivery support and an existing platform across the U.S. real estate and construction markets.
Your Role
Six months ago, we secured the leader of this new division.
We are now looking for the individual who will become his number two and help build the practice alongside him.
This is not an opportunity to inherit a narrow or heavily carved-up desk. You will help shape the market, develop client relationships, execute searches and build the foundations of a market-leading General Contractor recruitment practice. As the division grows, there will be genuine scope to build and lead a team.

- Better infrastructure across data, technology and delivery.
- More time speaking with clients and candidates, and less time building lists from scratch.
- An established platform with relationships across developers, investors and contractors.
- The opportunity to build a meaningful business line rather than simply maintain an existing desk.
