Senior Account Executive (B2B SaaS Sales – Construction & ConTech) – Mission Critical

Location: London (3 days/week on-site, hybrid role) Team: UK, Ireland & Nordics

About the Role

This is a senior individual contributor position within Buildots’ UK, Ireland & Nordics Sales team, with a focus on Mission Critical customers.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Winning large, complex enterprise deals across the Mission Critical sector (e.g., data centre construction, hyperscale infrastructure).
  • Managing multi-project, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from prospecting to close.
  • Building strategic long-term partnerships with board-level C Sukes, Operations Directors, and Construction Partners.
  • Shaping market strategy, competitive positioning, and customer problem-solving with constructive, consultative sales.
  • Representing Buildots at industry events and with executive stakeholders.

This is not an entry-level sales role. We’re looking for a high-performing, experienced commercial professional—someone who has navigated complex B2B contracts, built trust with senior leadership, and closed deals at scale.


Key Responsibilities

Sales Execution

  • Drive high-value pipelines in Mission Critical construction sectors (e.g., hyperscale data centres, infrastructure).

    • own end-to-end deal cycles—from outbound prospecting, consultation, and commercial agreements to final close.

    • Proactively manage long sales cycles with structured account planning and accurate revenue forecasting.

Partner & Customer Engagement

  • Build genuine boardroom-level trust with senior stakeholders (owner operators, contractors, and tech leaders).

    • Position Buildots as a strategic, long-term platform—not just a point solution.

Requirements

Essential (Non-Negotiable)

  • 7+ years in:
    • Construction, ConTech (construction technology), or B2B SaaS.
  • Proven ability to close high-value complex deals in enterprise sales cycles (e.g., multi-year agreements, multi-project contracts).
  • Knack for challenging, unusual selling environments—this is not a product demo role.
  • Pure B2B wire-to-wire mindset (e.g., multi-channel campaigns, executive direct access, contractual negotiation).
  • Enterprise-grade commercial IQ—thrives under personal quota responsibility in a high-growth / revenue-driven environment.

Advantages (Serious Differentiators)

  • Direct experience selling into or working within the Mission Critical/Teradata/Enterprise Construction sector (must recognize the nuances of multi-GW or multi-site projects).
  • Track record of leading cross-functional sales engagement (e.g., ensuring seamless alignment between CS, Tech, and Liason teams across a customer organisation).
  • A home territory in UKI/Nordics (preferably with professional contacts in omic artisanal construction sectors like telecoms/energy/infrastructure).
  • Marty skills in applying construction scheduling tools (Primm PrimeWantOD, Primavera P6, site-visualization platforms).

Cultural & Soft Fit

  • Exec Presence (approachable yet insightful; perceived as fair in boardrooms and exods).
  • Unfair guess accurate. Strong research skills & curiosity—truly care about preventing wastage in the built environment.
  • Trusted advisor—sense when to sentialise and when to patience, now-to-lead shifts.
  • Self-motivated, principled team player—shares knowledge freely, supports teammates, and takes accountability for business goals.
  • Multiple moderns but comfortable with on-site operational discovery (3 days/week London Office).
