Construction Site Manager – Solar PV Canopies
Join a leading clean energy company as a Construction Site Manager, overseeing the delivery of Solar PV Canopy projects across the UK!
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the UK's energy transition, managing on-site construction activities and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with project teams, contractors and stakeholders, you will take ownership of day-to-day site operations from mobilisation through to handover.
Contract Details
- Working Hours: 08:00 AM - 18:00 PM (some night shift work might be required)
- Contract Length: 5 months
- Location: Desford
- Daily Rate: £300 per day (inside IR35)

Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site activities for Solar PV Canopy installation projects.
- Coordinate subcontractors, materials, plant and logistics to maintain project schedules.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
- Ensure installations are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections, inductions, toolbox talks and RAMS reviews to maintain a strong safety culture.
- Act as the primary point of contact for on-site stakeholders, contractors and clients.
- Support contract administration, change management and maintenance of accurate site records.

Key Requirements
- Proven experience managing construction sites, ideally within Solar PV, renewable energy, civil engineering or structural projects.
- SMSTS (or equivalent) and First Aid at Work certification.
- Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and site compliance requirements.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing project delivery programmes.
- Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
