Regional Principal Contractor

This Regional Principal Contractor delivers Construction and Interior Projects across a range of sectors including Commercial Office, Light Industrial, Motorsport, and Private Healthcare.

Project Scope

Project scope often includes Civils, Structural, MEP, and Interior Fit Out Packages.

Project Values and Locations

Project values range from £1 million to £20 million and are often high specification. Projects can be located in Greater London, Bucks, Berks, Oxfordshire, Wiltshire, Hampshire, Warwickshire, and Northants.

Role Overview

As a result of expansion, the company is looking for x2 Site Managers to manage the day-to-day delivery of projects.

Responsibilities

As a Site Manager, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Working with the buying team to order the right materials and equipment
  • Scheduling packages of works
  • Preparing method statements and risk assessments
  • Organising the delivery of materials and equipment to site
  • Planning labour requirements
  • Managing sub-contract and direct labour on site
  • Updating a site diary
  • Setting up safe systems of work on site
  • Overseeing all works and ensuring a clean and well-organised construction site
  • Liaise with management and specialist subcontractors
  • Ensure safe working practices on site
  • Monitor work ensuring it is delivered on time and to budget
  • Recording variations and changes
  • Manage and motivate site teams

Requirements

Willing to travel, the successful candidate must have a valid CSCS Card or SMSTS card.

The individual will have a track record of managing interior fit out & construction packages in the Commercial Office, Private Healthcare, or Light Industrial sectors.

The candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of setting up and managing construction sites and must be able to read & interpret construction drawings.

The candidate will possess strong communication skills, must be computer literate, and be able to work as part of a team.

The candidate will ideally be located in Berkshire, Oxfordshire, or Bucks with easy access to M4/M40/M3 Corridors.

Compensation

In return, the candidate will receive a basic of £55k-£65k + company car, Pension, Medical, 25 days holiday, and an annual bonus up to 12%.
