LC Legal is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded national law firm with an excellent reputation within the construction and infrastructure sector. Consistently recognised by both Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, the firm advises a diverse and high-profile client base ranging from major corporates, developers and contractors through to investors, professional consultants and private clients across the UK and internationally.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of complex work, the firm is now seeking to appoint an ambitious Construction Solicitor at Senior Associate or Legal Director level, to join its expanding Leeds team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer looking to take on high-quality contentious construction work, whilst also gaining exposure to non-contentious advisory and project matters. Alongside the opportunity to work with highly respected partners and recognised market leaders, the firm offers hybrid working and a competitive remuneration and benefits package.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
