Salary: £80,000/100,000 DoE
Working Model: Hybrid
Sellick Partnership is delighted to be exclusively working with a leading Tier 1 construction and infrastructure business to recruit a Construction Solicitor.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an established in-house legal team supporting a broad portfolio of high-profile construction and infrastructure projects across the UK. The successful candidate will work closely with commercial and operational stakeholders, providing pragmatic legal advice on a wide range of non-contentious construction matters while helping to manage legal risk across the business.
Construction Solicitor – Role Overview
Reporting into the General Counsel, the Construction Solicitor will play a key role in supporting the business on contractual and commercial matters. The position sits within a collaborative in-house legal team and offers exposure to a wide variety of construction, commercial, and project work.
This role is predominantly non-contentious, with responsibility for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating construction contracts, advising project teams throughout the project lifecycle, and liaising with external legal advisers where required. Occasional involvement in contentious matters may arise, although previous disputes experience is not essential.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
