LC Legal is pleased to be partnering with a highly regarded national law firm to recruit a Construction Solicitor into its expanding Edinburgh team.

The role Joining a well-established and collaborative team, you will advise a broad range of clients on a variety of non-contentious construction matters. You'll play an active role in supporting significant development and infrastructure projects from inception through to completion, while working alongside specialists across other practice areas.
This position offers exposure to high-quality work, excellent client contact and the opportunity to further develop your technical expertise within a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities include Advising clients on a wide range of non-contentious construction and engineering matters across the energy, infrastructure and commercial development sectors Drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction documentation, including building contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties and ancillary project agreements Providing commercially focused advice on procurement strategies, project delivery structures and contractual risk allocation Working closely with colleagues across real estate, banking, corporate and dispute resolution teams on multi-disciplinary transactions Managing your own caseload while contributing to larger, complex projects where required Supporting the development of junior team members through mentoring and technical guidance Building and maintaining strong client relationships while contributing to business development and networking initiatives

About you Qualified Solicitor who comes with at least 2 years' PQE in non-contentious construction law Strong experience with a background advising on construction and engineering projects, alongside knowledge of standard form contracts Excellent drafting, negotiation and communication skills Commercially minded with a practical approach to delivering solutions for clients Able to manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of client service A collaborative team player who enjoys working within a supportive and ambitious environment
