We are a General Contractor in Commercial Construction, looking for a Superintendent with experience in large and small commercial building projects, Tilt ups, grocery stores. This candidate needs to be in the St. George Utah area.
Full benefit package available including 401k match, holidays and vacation pay.
Experience needed - 5 years minimum, Superintendent over jobs related to commercial building ground up.

Functions and Responsibilities:
Manage daily operation of commercial construction projects, including oversight of company resources and subcontractors, to successfully complete projects within contract budget, requirements, plans and specifications. Maintain standards of excellence in safety, quality and productivity on the job site. Serve as a company representative and point of contact with the public, owners, and subcontractors and suppliers.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations of construction project site:
- Establish schedule
- Control project costs
- Direct procurement of tools and materials necessary for work completion
- Facilitate communication and updates with internal and external customers (project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, owners, and architects, engineers, crew, office, etc.)
- Direct and control all job site personnel, equipment, materials and suppliers
- Consistently inspect for and maintain standards of excellence in safety, quality and productivity
- Regularly, accurately and professionally document:
- Project schedule and progression
- Work orders, meeting minutes, back charges, purchase orders, RFI's, back charges, photo documentation, safety conditions
- Payroll and performance of direct reports
- Safety conditions, accident reports
- Contribute to continuous product and service improvement through
- Avoiding errors and recognizing errors made by others.
- Demonstrating a willingness to acquire additional skills and taking the initiative to do so
- Procedural improvement recommendations

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

Education
- High school diploma / GED
Experience
- 5 years superintendent over jobs specifically related to division applying for.
Knowledge and skills
- Demonstrated leadership and delegation skills
- Knowledge of building process and methods
- Proficient with personal computer and word-processing and spreadsheet software.
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Basic understanding of all construction trades and subcontractors' scopes of work
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills (English language)
- Excellent customer service skills and initiative.
Physical Requirements
- Moderate physical activity performing strenuous daily activities; regularly required to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, hear. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test. A valid driver's license is required with a good driving record.
