LET’S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT
We’re looking for an exceptional Construction Transformation Lead to lead the Transformation of our Commercial and Delivery business — from strategy and inception, all the way through to Go-Live and benefits realisation to end delivery of major transformation initiatives.
In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in helping the Capability team achieve its £350m efficiency target, identifying opportunities where Digital Transformation and AI can unlock real, measurable cost savings and operational improvements.
The successful candidate will build and maintain a positive team culture that supports personal development and career progression.
Key Responsibilities:

- Demonstrate commercial and construction expertise to identify new opportunities for transformation.
- Provide programme leadership to ensure the successful delivery of the Transformation portfolio, driving outcomes that align with business priorities.
- Oversee full end-to-end delivery of new transformation and change initiatives at programme level — from discovery and design through to implementation and benefit realisation.
- Act as an innovative thought leader, working with Strategy Leads and Business Leads across all directorates to drive transformational change and promote organisation wide collaboration.
- Build and maintain a high-performing team through clear goal-setting, regular feedback, and effective performance management.
- Quantify and clearly communicate technology programme benefits to senior leadership, securing buy-in and shaping future investment decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
