About the Role
Connected Places Catapult is seeking a Consultant to support the Digital Construction International Programme, a flagship 3-year initiative with the Department for Business and Trade. The programme aims to overcome market barriers limiting the global adoption of digital construction and strengthen the UK’s export potential.
At the core, the initiative expands UK standards into enduring export growth by reforming international procurement systems to favour UK capabilities.
Key activities include:
- Supporting the Digital Construction Exports Group (DCEG), an ecosystem that helps UK firms (consultancies, SMEs, and supply chain organisations) enhance their export readiness, connectivity, and market positioning.
- Building bridges with UK exporters to foster collaboration, improve capability visibility, and reduce hurdles through targeted services and engagement.
- Designing and executing country-specific export programmes to deliver measurable outcomes, including supplier engagement, partnerships, and improved market access.

Key Responsibilities
- Build and deliver the Digital Construction Exports Group ecosystem, including its strategy, operational framework, and stakeholder engagement strategy.
- Assist in creating and rolling out the DCEG online platform, overseeing its launch, user onboarding, and continuous engagement.
- Offer export-focused services and opportunities, such as events, market intelligence, and tailored support packages for SMEs, Tier 1 firms, and consultancies.
- Maintain market intelligence and stakeholder relationships, ensuring all UK suppliers feel supported and aligned with programme opportunities.
- Develop export acceleration programmes by defining supplier cohorts, partnerships, and execution plans aligned with market demands.
- Monitor programme impact and performance, capturing results and advancing continuous improvement initiatives.
