Child & Adolescent Psychiatry: Consultant Post (10 PAs)
About the Role
Apply for a 10 Pa Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatry role to co-lead the Hounslow Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) Neurodevelopmental Team (NDT) alongside another Consultant Psychiatrist.
The post holder will be operationally and professionally accountable to the CAMHS Clinical Director, Borough Clinical Lead, Chief Medical Officer, and Executive Director of Local Services.
This 10PSS (10 Paramedical Session Standard) post offers the opportunity:
- To collaborate with three other Consultant Psychiatrists and a multidisciplinary Neurodevelopmental team.
- To lead a team within Hounslow CAMHS, part of the broader service line covering Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, and Forensic CAMHS.
- To share overall team leadership responsibility, alongside defined sub-lead roles for ASD and ADHD pathways (currently allocated).

Core Responsibilities
The Consultant will:
- Share overall Consultant responsibility for the Neurodevelopmental Team, ensuring delivery of:
- Comprehensive general child and adolescent mental health services within Hounslow CAMHS service and contractual requirements.
- Specialist assessments for ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and ADHD along with broader mental health care.
- Therapeutic interventions, training, and consultation across the multidisciplinary team.
- Direct case management, sharing responsibility for allocated cases and clinical leadership duties.
- Contribute to the annual job planning process, aligning roles with Clinical Director needs, service developments, and clinical interests (e.g., tic disorders, ASD home treatment, safeguarding).
- Actively participate in service governance, efficiency monitoring, and toxicology public safety regulations (if applicable).
